SKI RESORT GUIDE
RATING OF THE RESORT :4/5

The ski area is nice, the ski school is very good and the shopkeepers very welcoming.
Not enough shuttles, lots of building work going on and the mayor wants to get as much as possible out of teh tourists, none of the parking places are free and the local police give out fines non stop (especially on the day of arrivals)... sickening!!!
It's a shame that a fine of 35 euros 10 minutes after we arrived naturally spoilt our week

The weather, the ski area, the ESF ski instructors
Lots of construction work going on at the moment so lots of noise during the day and an avalanche of parking tickets!!! The shopkeepers told us that an agent had been hired just for that. Shameful!! Parking payable weekly.
A resort where you won't be going much longer if it continues like that.

It was either really sunny or snowy, the amount of snow when there was none anywhere else. The amount of variation and speed of the lifts and how well the staff spoke English
How cold it was. The ques at the start of the day
A great resort with plenty of snow and friendly staff.

Montgenèvre is a really sunny resort. Located at an altitude of 1860 m, it offers excellent snow conditions from the beginning of December to the end of April.
In addition, like in many resorts, there's an international APEAK ski school in Montgenèvre, and it's worth going just for that. They give children skiing lessons that respect the environment and the lessons are limited to 8 pupils... do I need to say more?
Not many shuttles in the village

A village resort with all assets of a big ski resort; 400kms of slopes, a stunning sun and lots of snow; well, we spent a dream week!
A bit crowded at weekends because of the italians
Very nice discovery, we were 14 and all came back delighted, a pleasure to share
