It is a great resort for families, young and old alike. There are enough green and blue pistes for beginners, whilst the bowl on top and the steeper pistes are fine for experienced skiers. When the liaison to Super Besse is open, there is plenty of variety. The only time I have known the liaison to be closed is when it is too windy and/or too icy on the top. Prices are very reasonable compared with Alpine or Pyrenees resorts.
The queues on the lower lifts can be very long in February.
The weather, the ski area, the ESF ski instructors
Lots of construction work going on at the moment so lots of noise during the day and an avalanche of parking tickets!!! The shopkeepers told us that an agent had been hired just for that. Shameful!! Parking payable weekly.
A resort where you won't be going much longer if it continues like that.
The ski area is nice, the ski school is very good and the shopkeepers very welcoming.
Not enough shuttles, lots of building work going on and the mayor wants to get as much as possible out of teh tourists, none of the parking places are free and the local police give out fines non stop (especially on the day of arrivals)... sickening!!!
It's a shame that a fine of 35 euros 10 minutes after we arrived naturally spoilt our week
