Weather conditions were globally favourable this year. Thanks to some mid-week snowfall, we were able to test the versatile and midfat freeride models in good conditions. Our only regret was not being able to try out the slalom and giant slalom models on ice.
Test site 2009/2010
This year the site chosen as the venue for the Winter-sports.com ski review 2009 (testing 2010 models) was La Clusaz. The size of the ski area, the variety of terrains and ease of access were determining factors. We were able to change the location of our base camp to take advantage of weather conditions and make the most of the ski review schedule. The La Combe de Balme ski area proved to be perfect for testing Freeride skis.
Testers 2009/2010
As with previous years, the test team comprised a panel of expert skiers with skills in a variety of techniques (downhill, competition and freeride). We were also joined by a number of "big names" this year—particularly in the freeriding discipline, including several winners of the famous "Derby de la Meije" as well as a few professional Freestylers.
